Man are we pumped! Just a couple of days now until we hit Great Keppel Island to perform in paradise alongside some of Australia’s best country musicians at Country on Keppel 2024!
With no less than a stellar line-up ranging from OG’s like James Blundell and Beccy Cole through to current superstar Casey Barnes, It is an understatement to say WE CAN’T WAIT!
We’re privileged to be invited to play both Friday and Saturday nights as the closing act which is suitably where we fit in the mix, as one of only a handful of Central Queensland’s Country Party Bands! And we get to mix it up between 2 different stages playing on the mainstage and then moving to what we’re gonna brand as the Kickstand Stage at the Hideaway for the weekend so that we can keep the party pumping right into the night!
Friday and Saturday’s Lineup for Country on Keppel 2024 is Incredible!
We’ll of course be delivering our niche ‘Dive Bar Country’ mix of music but we will be breaking it up into sections across the 2 nights, giving things a little bit of a gentle nudge on the Friday night with some ballads and gentler tunes so as not to wear everyone out before we really ramp things up on Saturday night with the Dive Bar Bangers!
I personally can’t wait to check out the Green Brothers Country on Keppel Peter Blundell Memorial Talent Search to see who emerges from the region and beyond to strengthen the Country Genre. And of course, check out all our other local legends being Kate Mahood, Brad Butcher and our neighbor from a few postcodes down the road and the 2023 Memorial Winner Keely Ellen.
Not to mention the Tamworth born and bred Ashleigh Dallas, Gold Coast songwriter Chloe Styler, Farmer & country music singer songwriter Danny Phegan, and of course Ten-Time Golden Guitar Winner Lyn Bowtell, there’s so much to hear!
Don’t forget to stick around for Acoustic Sunday!
So in wrapping up you had better have your dancing boots packed, ears in tune and your mind ready to unwind for a relaxing and exciting weekend of Great Country Entertainment at Great Keppel Island!
Cya there at Country on Keppel 2024, Coighty and The Kickstands!
